A big thank you to these individuals for your ongoing commitment and support of the club. We are excited by what the 25/26 season will bring and new members are always welcome.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Virginia Errington who after 5 seasons is stepping down as Club Secretary. Virginia has done a tremendous job supporting the club through a transition period and we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done and will no doubt, continue to do.

That being said, we welcome Dean Bell into the role of Club Secretary and with his vast experience and passion for the game, we look forward to him stepping into the role.

The inaugural PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational was held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea last week June 15-21 bringing together women’s teams from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Samoa, and an Australian Indigenous squad.

The T20 tournament was supported through the Australian Government’s PacificAus Sports program, which creates opportunities for Pacific athletes, coaches, officials and administrators to access high performance training and elite competition. The Invitational was played in Papua New Guinea as part of the celebration of the nation’s 50th anniversary of independence.

Bankstown Sports Women’s Cricket Club would like to welcome Ron ‘Tiger’ Woods to the club as Head Coach!

Ron brings with him extensive experience not just in Women’s Premier Cricket but also through the Australia-India Women’s Cricket Association, and a 4 year tenure in the Cricket NSW Pathways setup.

He has coached internationally and worked with fielding coaches on the Athletic fielding programs in Australia and overseas. He has been instrumental in developing young talent and working with high performance players with the philosophy of hard work and dedication to the growth of players. Holding an ICC Global Level 3 High Performance Coach certification, Ron excels in modern coaching techniques, player management, and high-performance training.

Beyond technical skills, he emphasises mental resilience and holistic player development. His dedication to the sport continues to shape the future of women's cricket.

We are very excited to have Ron on board and cannot wait to see the difference he makes in our playing group.

After 4 seasons as head coach, Charlie has decided that 2024/25 would be his last. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Charlie for his dedication and commitment to our club from the second he joined an online call during COVID. From there, he ably led us not only through the COVID period, he fostered a love of the game in many of our players, provided guidance and support to players, other coaches, and the committee all while upholding the values of the club.
Thank you, Charlie. Not only were you a coach but a friend and mentor to many of the players and we have appreciated the sacrifices you have made for the betterment of the club over the last 4 seasons.

From there, he ably led us not only through the COVID period, he fostered a love of the game in many of our players, provided guidance and support to players, other coaches, and the committee all while upholding the values of the club.
Thank you, Charlie. Not only were you a coach but a friend and mentor to many of the players and we have appreciated the sacrifices you have made for the betterment of the club over the last 4 seasons.
